Aaron is a 2007 (B.S., Computer Science and History) and 2014 (M.S., Computer Engineering) graduate of the L.C. Smith College of Engineering and Computer Science at Syracuse University. His work and interests span all realms of information technology with a passion for software development and building usable software and web page designs.
Working
Aaron currently works for the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry (SUNY-ESF) in Syracuse, New York as Associate Director of Web Services, in the Office of Communications and Marketing. He also does freelance web development and information technology support consulting in the Syracuse area.
HighEdWeb
Aaron has been an active member of the Higher Education Web Professionals Association (or HighEdWeb, for short) since attending his first conference in 2009. He has presented post-conference workshops and track sessions at several association conferences and participated in the planning of two regional conferences. Aaron was elected to the HighEdWeb Board of Directors in 2018, and currently serves as HighEdWeb President.
Alpha Phi Omega
Aaron pledged the Alpha Phi Omega national co-educational service fraternity in 2006 at the Phi chapter at Syracuse University/SUNY-ESF. Since pledging, Aaron has served on the Phi chapter executive board, the Section 87 staff culminating in four years (2010-2014) as Section Chair, and served as Region Q Chair (2018-2021). He is currently an advisor to the Phi chapter at Syracuse University/SUNY-ESF. He also previously served as Region II Chair (2016-2018), inaugural Central New York Alumni Association (CNYAA) President, and Extension Sponsor to the new Alpha Eta Sigma chapter at Cazenovia College. He received the Phi Chapter Distinguished Service Key in 2010, the Section 87 Distinguished Service Key in 2012, and the Region II Distinguished Service Key in 2018. He was also honored with the Herbert G. Horton Service to Youth award at the National Convention in 2012.
Boy Scouts of America
Aaron has been involved in the programs of the Boy Scouts of America since 1993, starting in cub scouts, and achieved the Eagle Scout rank in 2002. Aaron has served as the Longhouse Council (formerly Hiawatha Seaway Council) webmaster, and also served on the Onondaga District Committee.
